Umbilical Cord
One of the 'safe' and accepted ways to obtain embryos are to get a newborn baby, and take stem cells out of their umbilical cord. This is a fairly good way to get stem cells, but there is a small chance of a rejection is used with a different person. These are not as good as fresh embryos, but better than Adult cells.
Amniotic Fluid
Fluids in the womb that help the foetus develop contain stem cells. These can be harvested by scientists for use, and work pretty well, again better than Adult stem cells but not as good as fresh stem cells from a pre-embryo.
Aborted Pregnancy
It is possible to use the stem cells from an embryo from an aborted pregnancy. Ths is a sensitive issue, as some people would not want to be involved with this - but it is a possbility nonetheless.
